If you wish to order five or more items and want to use the discount rates that follow, and/or you are using a purchase order and must be billed for payment, please do not use the shopping cart process at our website(s) since it doesn’t understand discounts or purchase orders—and we will seek lower shipping costs for your order anyway. If you pay the order with a credit card, however, we will use the secure Pay Pal process. (Just send the card number, cardholder’s name, expiration date, and the last three numbers on the back [four for Amex], and we will charge the exact amount after discounting and shipping.) We bill purchase orders when the order is shipped.

 

DISCOUNTS

 

The following discounts apply to all of the nonreturnable print products we sell. For returnables, discounts are 3% less. (Again, bookstores and similar dealers, please contact us.) To calculate the cost of your order, multiply the quantity of books ordered by the discounted per-item cost, then add the shipping (and, if appropriate, 7.75% CA tax). You can mix all of our books (except digital downloads) for a better discount. (See the order form for a full list of our products. APPROXIMATE SHIPPING COSTS

 

We have had much success using the U.S. Postal Service, although we can ship by Fedex (no local ground pick-up) or UPS. If you don’t need the items for 10-15 days, media mail is usually considerably less expensive. We can ship books priority (2-3 day delivery) in a special flat-rate box at a decent rate as well. You simply tell us. We charge you what it costs us to send the books your way. If the order is more than 150-200 books, call and we will see if a commercial truck rate is less expensive.

For partial media mail shipments 25 or greater, calculate an additional pound for the container, plus the book weight.

 

For a pound-by-pound chart for both media mail and priority, we use the rate sheets, issued after the rate increases in May, 2007, that are accessible at http://pe.usps.gov/test/dmm300/ratesandfees.htm.

For priority mail, the flat-rate box holds the following quantities:

 

An $8.95 box (at your Post Office) will hold 10 TCL, 8 PS books, and 6 Supt books.

 

One must check the rate sheets for other priority mail because the costs increase by zone. For example, a 20-pound shipment can range from $11.60-34.40 while a 40-pound box would run from $20.45-$59.65.

 

These arrive in 2-3 days, and you can mix books or send some this way and the rest by regular priority or media mail. Just tell us and we dispatch as directed. If the order is received during the week by noon, PST, it is sent that day. We don’t have Saturday service in Novato.
